As the sun broke on the second day of a Merriam Turkey Hunt in New Mexico the birds were going Crazy in the roost. We had them so worked up that as soon as two Merriam Toms hit the ground they went at it for 30 minutes. It was some good watching!! They worked back and forth in front of us several times fighting. Things finally calmed down a notch and we were able to call these two New Mexico Merriam Toms to 20 yard for a good shot.
